Author Guidelines

Checklist before Submission:

  • Check the Focus and Scope of the Journal of Management and Informatics to ensure your paper is suitable for submission HERE.
  • Download the Microsoft Word template to prepare your manuscript HERE.
  • Ensure that issues related to publication ethics, research ethics, copyright, authorship, etc., have been appropriately considered.
  • Confirm that all authors have approved the content of the submitted manuscript.
  • Ensure that the paper has not been submitted to any other journal.

Manuscript Preparation:

  • The manuscript should include the following sections: TITLE, ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, LITERATURE REVIEW/RELATED WORK, METHOD, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION, REFERENCES or the author also can Use IMRAD structure on the manuscript (TITLE, ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, METHOD, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, REFERENCES)
  • The writing format must follow and conform to the JTIE template (download the template for your manuscript here).
  • Tables: Tables should have clear captions, be sequentially numbered, and be referenced in the body text. For example, Table I (caption), Table 2 (caption), etc. Table columns should have single-spaced text and no space before and after paragraphs.
  • Figures: Figures should have clear captions, be sequentially numbered, and be referenced in the body text. For example, Figure 1. (caption), Figure 2. (caption), etc. Figures should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
  • References: References should be numbered according to their order of appearance in the text, including in table captions and figure legends, and should be listed individually at the end of the manuscript. It is recommended to use a bibliography software package, such as Mendeley, to prevent typing errors and duplicate references. All citations included in the references must be cited throughout the body text. References should include at least 25 sources, with a minimum of 75% being relevant, up-to-date international journals/conferences published within the last five years from the date of the research conducted. We suggest the author use MENDELEY to add the reference automatically.

Copyright and Licensing:

Authors who publish in Journal of Management and Informatics (JMI) retain the copyright of their work. By submitting to this journal, authors agree to grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the article and identify JMI as the original publisher.

All published articles in JMI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license allows others to share, adapt, and build upon the work for any purpose, even commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under identical terms.

Peer Review Process:

Journal of Management and Informatics (JMI) applies a double anonymous peer review process. This means that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Board to ensure alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as to check for plagiarism and formatting compliance.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be assigned to at least two (2) independent peer reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on scientific merit, originality, relevance, clarity, and adherence to ethical standards.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision may be:

  • Accepted without revision

  • Accepted with minor revisions

  • Accepted with major revisions

  • Rejected

The corresponding author will receive reviewer comments and is expected to revise the manuscript accordingly. The entire peer review process is expected to be completed within a maximum of four weeks, though this may vary depending on reviewer availability and response time.

The final decision on manuscript acceptance is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the manuscript.

Publication Ethics

This journal adheres to the ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). It follows COPE guidelines in addressing all aspects of publication ethics, including how to handle cases of research misconduct and unethical publication behavior.

The ethical standards apply to all parties involved in the publication process: Authors, the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, Peer Reviewers, and the Publisher (National Research and Innovation Center). The journal is committed to upholding best practices in publication ethics, correcting errors when identified, and retracting articles where necessary.

Any form of unethical behavior, including plagiarism, is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.

Article Processing Charge (APC):

Each article submitted to the editorial team of the Journal of Management and Informatics incurs no submission or processing fees. However, for accepted papers, a publication fee of USD 20 will apply for international authors, and IDR 250,000 for Indonesian authors. All articles published in JMI are freely accessible to readers. Readers can freely view abstracts and download full-text articles in PDF format at no cost (open access).

DOI Policy:

Each article published in the Journal of Management and Informatics (JMI) is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure a persistent and unique identification for scholarly content. JMI uses the DOI system to enhance the visibility, traceability, and accessibility of each published work in the digital environment.

DOI Registration

The DOI is registered through Crossref, an official DOI registration agency. Once published, each article will display its DOI on the article webpage and PDF version.

Purpose and Benefits

  • Ensure permanent linking and citation.

  • Enable easy metadata indexing for search engines and academic databases.

  • Support standardized citation formats and bibliographic tools.

  • Facilitate tracking of article usage and citations.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are encouraged to use and cite the DOI when referencing their own work and when citing other articles. Proper DOI citation increases discoverability and academic impact.
