Waiver Policy

The Journal of Management and Informatics (JMI) is committed to supporting equitable access to academic publishing. To ensure that the ability to publish is not limited by financial barriers, JMI offers waivers or discounts on Article Processing Charges (APCs) under certain conditions.

Eligibility for Waiver or Discount

A waiver or discount may be granted to authors who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Authors affiliated with institutions in low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank.

  • Authors who lack research funding or are affiliated with institutions that do not cover publication costs.

  • Students or early-career researchers submitting independent or unfunded work.

How to Apply

Authors must request a waiver at the time of submission or prior to the acceptance of the manuscript. To apply, please send an email to the editorial office at [email protected] with the subject line "Waiver Request", including:

  • Manuscript title

  • Name and affiliation of corresponding author

  • Brief explanation of the reason for the waiver request

All waiver requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and will not affect the editorial decision.

Transparency Statement

JMI ensures that the peer review and editorial process remains independent of the author’s ability to pay publication fees. Waiver approval does not influence the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript.
