Article Processing Charge (APC)

The Journal of Management and Informatics (JMI) does not charge any fees for manuscript submission or the initial peer-review process. An Article Processing Charge (APC) is only applicable to manuscripts that have been officially accepted for publication.

Following JMI's achievement of SINTA 3 accreditation and as part of the journal's continuous commitment to improving publication quality, editorial services, and international visibility, a revised APC policy has been implemented.

Effective for all manuscripts submitted on or after 1 August 2026, the APC is as follows:

  • IDR 850,000 for authors affiliated with institutions in Indonesia.

  • USD 50 for international authors.

The APC invoice will only be issued after the manuscript has successfully passed the peer-review process and has received an official Acceptance Decision. Payment is required before the manuscript proceeds to the copyediting and production stages.

The APC contributes to supporting the following publishing services:

  • Editorial management and peer-review administration

  • DOI registration and metadata management

  • Professional copyediting, language checking, layout, and typesetting

  • Online publication and long-term digital archiving

  • Website maintenance and journal indexing support

  • Continuous improvement of publication quality and journal management

JMI is an Open Access journal. All published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide and may be read, downloaded, shared, and cited without subscription or access fees.

APC Policy Transition

To ensure transparency and fairness for all authors, the following transition policy applies:

  • Manuscripts submitted before 1 August 2026 will remain subject to the previous APC policy, regardless of their publication date.

  • Manuscripts submitted on or after 1 August 2026 will be subject to the new APC policy of IDR 850,000 (Indonesian authors) or USD 50 (international authors).

The APC is determined based on the original manuscript submission date, not on the date of acceptance or publication.

Waiver Policy

JMI is committed to promoting inclusive scholarly publishing. Authors from low-income countries or authors without institutional or research funding may request an APC waiver or partial waiver. Waiver requests must be submitted to the Editorial Office prior to manuscript submission and should include a brief justification. Each request will be evaluated individually by the Editorial Board, and approval is granted solely at the Board's discretion.
